Rotarians in District 6650 continued to partner with, and support, Operation Warm for a 6th year providing over 3,000 coats to children, and in some cases, adults throughout our District!  Youngstown Rotarian PDG Debbie Esbenshade (2013-14) introduced this project to Division 1(a) clubs in 2012 which raised $20,000 and provided over 1,200 coats in its first year!

Debbie chose Operation Warm as her District-Wide Community Service project in 2013 and the response was overwhelming!  Every single club (47 in all) participated either by sponsoring a coat(s), partnering with another club(s), or ordering coats directly for distribution in their own communities.  Total dollars raised during the 2013 Campaign were just dollars short of $61,700 equating to over 3,420 coats distributed throughout our district!

This project has been supported by PDG’s Phil Mariola (2014-15), Joe Belinsky (2015-2016), Sieglinde Warren (2016-2017) and current DG Mike Raulin.  DGE Scott Schulick has already endorsed the project for 2018!  In our first 6 years, District 6650 Rotarians have raised over $360,000 and provided over 18,000 coats!
